"I like these apartments, they are an easy walk from the station. They are simple but smartly done. The sound proofing on the windows is excellent and if you are in a room at the front of the building you need it. The TV reception is a bit sketchy for the foreign channels but the WiFi is good enough to watch things on your own devices. "

"Lumen apartments are great. Very nice parking, bed, shower, kitchen. The only complaint was a drainage smell that was coming out of the kitchen sink. We couldn’t figure it out while we were there but I need to mention that management responded really quick to all my emails or phone calls and offered to send someone to check the smell but we were out all day and only come to the apartment to sleep so we were able to tolerate the smell for a little bit. "

The room was not ready by check-in time. Also, although they said the cleaning service was every 3 days, this only happened once and skipped the 2nd cleaning day. "Great place to stay in Basel. Close to public transportation. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed had all basic amenities for a family of 4. A full size kitchen , washer dryer was awesome. The AC was not that good but a fan in the room helped. It would have been great to have a fan in each room. We kept the windows slightly open to let some fresh cool air in at night. But it invited some bugs too.. and noise of trams& cars passing by. Extra towels would have been helpful, we had to wash...

"Vermieter sind nett und das Essen im nebenan liegenden Restaurant ist super lecker. Ferienwohnung war sauber und sehr zweckmäßig, die Lage ist schön zentral. Basel, Zürich und der Rheinfall sind alle mit Tagesausflügen leicht zu erreichen und wandern kann man auch gehen. Auch ist der Ort mit Zug zu erreichen - da sollte man so 20 Gehminuten einplanen."

"Highly recommended to anyone who loves to get out in the mountains. Networks of beautifully signposted Swiss footpaths pass the front door. The scenery is dramatic - limestone cliffs creating steep sided gorges - and makes for some challenging mountain biking! Gabriele was a generous host and her apartment made a cosy and extremely comfortable base for exploring. We were grateful for the warm log stove on the cool October nights."
