"The location was great, walking distance to everything. The property is clean but little bit old, and we had an incident with one of the rooms that we booked plus the terrible communication between us and the staff that made us really unhappy. Also the bed is too small."

"This is student housing. We brought our own pillows from home, which I would recommend. The beds are small, but was fine for us because we were prepared for the size/situation based on other reviews. Bathroom is tiny. Rooms are not cleaned during your stay unless you pay extra. If you have accurate expectations you will enjoy your stay here- the staff was REALLY FRIENDLY and accommodating-- the actual room was as expected, because we were expecting a dorm room! :) "

"Great location, easy to get there from the airport, lovely restaurants nearby and close to all the tourist stuff. Great apartment, really well equipped and nicely presented. Couple of relatively minor points- the apartment is quite big, the bed is too small and not that comfy. Also in the small dressing room there’s a full length mirror & storage but no place to plug anything in. Other than that a really good and easy would have happily stayed longer."

"The linton collection was an excellent apartment block in a very good location just off the royal mile. There was a great speak easy type cocktail bar next door called the three blind mice and it was easy to walk to most actractions from the apartment. "We were reloacated to hilton as our accommodation was not available. The staff were very helpful and kind after all our inconvenience we had been through ! Savia we so helpful full of live enthusiastic and kind. Her service was perfect..."

"Big and spacious. Lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs nearby. Walkable to train station and major places of interest. One major downside is the security. When we are out, there were 2 occurences of entry. One left the living room lights on and the other cleared our trash. Chatted online with destiny and they said no unauthorised entries in their records. If there is any form of housekeeping, please let the guests know so the guests feel safer."

"We loved the staff at Wilde so friendly and outgoing. We were less enamored with our rooms. Some things in both rooms we had didn’t function properly (blinds, lights, etc). Room was either freezing ir we had the heat off or felt like a furnace or we had it on. We also found that the “apartment” part of the room was not well utilized by us. "You all need to try their cream tea option at the restaurant. Tea with scones! Best scones ive had in my life. Ive been to many high teas in my life and this beats all. Every single bite felt like i was having an out of body experience. The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating to our needs. Very walkable to majority of the attractions and the view from the restaurant is beautiful. Definitely would stay again! "

A wonderful spot in Edinburgh

"The location is ideal! It is a short walk from the train station with bus and tram stops steps away. Even though it is right on a busy road it is a quiet sanctuary. The room was a peaceful place to end every day of walking this gorgeous clean city. The breakfast buffet was a delicious way to begin each day. It was the only hotel in my price range that offered 2 twin beds in the same room. Unlike the US, a “double room” means 1 bed for 2 people. "
