"What a lovely spot. So peaceful with on the sounds of ducks cockerels and donkey’s for a bit of background atmosphere. Located in the French countryside with close local amenities. And most of the place we visited were only 30 mins drive away. Abbevile close with great train links to Paris where we spent a great day and Amiens just over an hour drive Was about 1 hour 30 mins drive to visit the world war 1 memorial sites, well worth the drive. "Despite it being very low season and most of St Valery sur Somme being shut for annual holidays, we had a lovely time. We were aware beforehand that this was the case. We have stayed at this lovey Gite before and it was fabulous then. Situated in the heart of the town it has beautiful views over the bay and is a lovely cosy fisherman’s cottage. Great facilities and beautifully clean. The check in was as easy as always and we hope to stay again. Thank you."

"We had a really good stay and found the accommodation extremely good with the single exception of parking - this is complicated and not free (unless you want a 20 minute walk to your car) but, given how central it is, close to the square, shops and restaurants, this wasn't a problem. There are lots of great walks and a trip on the railway is a must! The owners have prepared a very detailed and comprehensive set of guides, so everyone will find something they like. Highly recommended."

The town of St Valery, a beautiful location, was within walking distance. We were warmly welcomed by Mr Mortier who proved to be helpful in every respect. "Excellent place to stay. We extended by one night. Clean and comfortable with street parking. Front desk staff were very helpful. My only concern is the 150 euro bond money has not been returned to my card yet. It has been six days since we checked out and have sent two messages to the hotel but not received any response. Our stay was very good and the kitchen let us have home cooked meals. Apart from the return of bond money would recommend this hotel."
