The ad for the property said within a 2min walk for the lake and the photos looked as though we would just walk out and the lake would be there however the lake was a short drive maybe 4min. For all those seniors who may have a handicap you can't walk to the lake. The only other finding was alot of dog hair from a long haired dog on the floor and behind the couch, also some candy wrappers behind the couch from prior guests. "

"Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use. "A cozy cabin in the woods, only a brief walk away from the lake, and a comfortable fit for our family of 5. Very well stocked kitchen - we were able to cook all our meals easily. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch and the swimming area and kayaks that were available for guest use. Ice cream/trading post for food/supplies and a boat rental all just up the road if you want to take advantage of the lake.
