I will definitely stay here again - the staff and service were exceptional. The hotel is close to the underground and in a lovely area. The room was a little on the smaller side but it didn't bother us. Breakfast was nice.
Paying to be close to transit. Nothing else notable about the property or service - had the usual issues. Definitely not great accessibility inside the property.
It was a nice hotel but it was like a Furness! Couldn't cool the room down even though the radiator was off and it was cool outside as the windows didn't open very far and there was no air conditioning.
Room was a little small even for a a double room. Otherwise everything else was great, close to lots of options for food, close walk to 3 different train stations, and staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice room but so hot I had to keep the window opened all night !!! A ridiculous waste of energy when it’s fairly cold outside.
The bathroom air ventilator is so excessively loud I was woken in the early hours of the morning by somebody upstairs … it was so loud the door was vibrating!
The Phoenix Hotel is a very good hotel in the area near Notting Hill. Very close to transport and a nice walk to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Excellent breakfast options.
Great location! So easy to get around, staff were friendly, some reviews mention how small the small double room is and I was prepared, but for one person, it was totally all I needed! The bed was comfy, I slept well. Great value if you're not looking to spend excessive money, but want to stay central to activities in London. I will absolutely stay here again!
Great location nothing hills very quiet area. Staff very professional so clean. Very quit I can sleep like a baby. I will recommend this hotel to anyone.
The room I stayed in was comfortable but quite small. The bathroom was a tight squeeze for me (at 5 foot), so be aware of this if you are tall or somewhat heavy. On the plus side, the breakfast was part of the room price, so no need to head out early to find something to eat. The location is less than a 5 minute walk from a variety of restaurants and food shops. And there are 2 tube stations and a bus line less than 10 minutes away.

Location was great for restaurants, shopping and Bayswater underground.
Hotel is pretty tired looking. There is a bar onsite but it wasn’t open the few times we wanted a drink.
Bed was very uncomfortable and the room was very cramped. Looked nothing like the photos on the website.
I really like this hotel. It's well situated, on street parking is free after 6:30 pm.
Staff have always been friendly and helpful.
The rooms I've had recently are comically small and I'm a big chap but I can't complain I always sleep well
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was nice

I've never seen a bathroom that small. I could sit on the toilet with both shoulders touching the walls beside me. I was in room 114, and the bathroom was smaller than the shower in other hotels. My shower was so small i could barely wash my legs and feet. I'm 6'5'' and the bathroom door is about 6'2''. Watch your head! The bed was smaller than a twin in the US. But the breakfast was edible and the deli meats made it better. The Phoenix is near the Bayswater tube station in a good area near Notting Hill. I got a good deal, so i can't complain too much, but that room was way too small. My friend stayed in a different room with a slightly bigger bathroom. I would consider staying there again, but never in room 114.
