"Great stay, the rooms were nice and clean. The only thing I would say is it may want a bit of updating around the spa but I think this is currently happening. Can’t fault staff, or food either. Would recommend, and stay again. "

" I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The grounds are absolutely stunning—an old manor house with plenty of outdoor space, making for a peaceful and quiet retreat. The staff were incredibly friendly, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. As expected with an older building, there are no lifts, which wasn’t an issue for me, but it might be for those who struggle with stairs. The room itself was amazing—spacious and much bigger than our last stay. The shower was powerful, and the room was well-equipped with tea, coffee, and biscuits. There were plenty of plugs for charging, plus a desk, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the very soft mattress, which unfortunately left me with some backache. It’s a shame because everything else was perfect. Parking was plentiful, with spaces available both at the front and back of the hotel. Overall, a wonderful stay—I’d love to return, but I’d have to check if firmer mattresses are available!"

"Love the Wild Pheasant. Brought our 82 year old aunt for a few days. She loved it here as do we as we stay here every August. Myself and husband will be back in August. Food is amazing and staff especially Albie and Clare are so welcoming and very good with the customers "

"The room and inside of the hotel were fab. It was very comfortable and clean. Don’t be put off by a dated exterior. The inside is lovely, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was good quality - no complaints. The park and ride is right next door for an easy trip into Chester. We had a happy stay. "
