"I wanted a good location for a 1 night stay with my dogs and this fit the bill 100%. The hotel communal area was good, the room was a little tired but linens / towels were immaculate. Had entertainment on, on the evening if you wanted a drink in the bar. Overall not bad "

"Lovley old original property, our room had a nice view of the castle. Dinner was superb but we couldn’t reccomend the breakfast , The buffet ran out completely ( orange juice toast etc ) and wasn’t replenished for over half an hour in spite of us asking . We waited over an hour for our cooked breakfast to arrive . When it did arrive there was one rasher of bacon, one sausage, half a mushroom and one fried egg. I’m not a greedy person but it didn’t seem like a lot for £15. After waiting so long...

"Staff were fantastic. Hotel building and location were amazing. Great views across to the straights and mountains. Breakfast was really good, dinner was ok. Main issue was that we were not in the main building but a separate one (lodge). Walls there are paper thin unfortunately and could hear everything in room next door. Boiler from room nextdoor was also super loud. Not great for 200 a night! I'm sure the rooms in the main building are much better so would be good to come back and stay in them...

"Great one night stay on Saturday 25th Jan. We were attending an event at Venue Cymru, which is a ten minute walk away along the prom. Easy check in, and very nice clean room. We were on the first floor, but the room was located through a small warren of corridors and steps, not a problem for us. The bed was comfy, and the room was great for us. The bars and restaurants on Mostyn Street are a few minutes walk around the corner. We had a drink at The GOAT bar/restaurant, was very nice and well...

The cottage was well equipped and gave us the chance to feel properly nestled in the mountain.
