"Knowing how old the space is, and the life it's had - it's an excellent place to stay when you're in the Liberty area. The cost was reasonable. It had more amenities than I took advantage of. My review is more of a reminder about your location - you're in a smaller town that isn't always hosting tourists. There isn't a pantry/market - there's a vending machine for drinks. There aren't name brand amenities, so bring your liquids! But there is a McDs and BK in front of and next to... a gas station...

"I had a good stay, there was an issue with the roof leaking in a heavy rain storm but was dealt with promptly. I was given another room and it in no way affected the stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating and adding an additional day to my stay was not a problem."

"Black Bear Lodge is the perfect place to lay your head at night after a long day of hiking and outdoor adventures! The host was very kind as she provided light breakfast each morning (fruit, tea, coffee, muffins, croissants, bottled water), and checked in with us to make sure our stay was going well. I would definitely stay here again when I am in the area!"

"Woke up in the morning to a cockroach on the ceiling in the bathroom and you could see babies on the counter in the bathroom. The bathroom sink took forever to drain after washing hands. It was just a place to lay our heads before getting back on the road, but cockroaches were not in our plans. "
