"Good stay at the Pear Tree Inn! Staff were great, calling me as I was arriving late and sending across a AVT invoice quickly (as there is no one there on checkout)! There is no hairdryer in the room - I didn’t realise this until the morning and there was no one downstairs to ask! "

"Very old historic building with lots of character. Room large, bed comfy, coffee machine and biscuits but no bottled water. Good shower, good breakfast included cooked to order. Staff friendly and helpful. WiFi rubbish, TV not great but was cool that it was hidden in the panelled wall. Short walk to paid parking. Overall a positive stay, would stay again. "

"A loverly village inn with great food and real ales. Very comfortable bed and room very clean. Shower was clean and they water hot. In all a very comfortable stay. We were, attending a wedding at Leez Priory which as 5 mins away. Local Chelmsford cabs serve the Leez so transport back was very easy. "

"I had a lovely stay at The Red Cow, this place is a real gem! The building and rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The staff were very attentive and friendly & the food I had was so good! Lovely local charm in the bar area with friendly faces welcoming me in. If I find myself needing to stay in this area again, I will without doubt be returning. Wonderful little inn. "

"Very cute property and village. The staff were very friendly and the food in in the Pub was good. Downsides, the bar and the restaurant were limited on options to choose from. There was zero water pressure in the shower. The gentleman did tell us at check in that they had poor water pressure, however it was non existent. Very difficult to take any kind of shower. Overall it was a nice quiet inn with a good patio. "
