"The property had an amazing view. It had both indoor and outdoor furniture to make it relaxing. The only problem was how hot it was inside with no air conditioning. The big windows allow for a great view but also let in full sun during the whole day. Open windows and fans helped but only in the evenings. and no air conditioning"

The house is pretty remote, which can be a good thing, but every place we wanted to visit is at least an hour drive away. We did a lot of driving and spent a lot on gas. "A very nice property. Four couples stayed there a night while on a motorcycle tour of Nova Scotia. One of the bedrooms didn’t have access to a bathroom so it was more of a 3br house rather than 4br. Spacious with many amenities but there were numerous sticky notes around informing us of things that didn’t work or shouldn’t be used. The access road was gravel and not motorcycle friendly."

"Two sets of family stayed at this property and it was more than enough room. The house was very clean and tidy and a comfortable space. Kitchen was stocked with the essentials and all bathrooms had plenty of soap, paper towel and toilet paper. The host was super friendly and helpful. "This property was exactly what we were looking for. Stunning views and far away from the hustle of city life. The house was quaint and enough room for seven of us. There is no central air conditioning, just a heat pump on the first floor but opening the windows to the ocean air as Todd suggested was more than sufficient to cool the rooms down in the night. "Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."
