Lodges in Lika-Senj

"We had the top floor of the cottage. It was comfortable and great for our family for one night. It was convenient to get to Plivitce Falls. We did eat dinner and breakfast there, since it was raining and we didn't feel like driving out. Dinner (off season price, I believe) was $30 a person; the mushroom soup was delicious, dessert was good, the chicken and the pork entree were fine. The fish, I would stay away from. It was called tuna (I still have my doubts) but it was very fishy and not cooked evenly, I had a hard time finishing it. Then I spent part of the night googling "What happens if you eat bad fish?" Turns out I was fine, nothing happened. Just don't order the fish. Breakfast was good $20/pp. In the top floor, there is only one heater for the whole apartment, which sits in the living space, so if you close the doors at night the heat doesn't go between rooms. There are air conditioners in each room. Also, there is nowhere to hand a towel in the bathroom, which is a little odd but not a huge deal. Would I go back? Maybe, it is convent to the gorgeous park by it and you can stop and see the waterfalls easily along the way. The host was wonderful too and I met the cook and she was very nice. "

"I was a little worried because of the cash payment requirement, but the property was pristine. The room was immaculate….and I am very particular. I would just recommend to bring your own hairdryer if styling is important to you. The bed was very comfortable, and the staff was first rate as was breakfast. I do not think it was expensive at all, with the multitude of home baked breads, cakes, and cookies. And the fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, omelettes, and crispy bacon. Loved it! We had dinner at Lika Kuca (at entrance 1 of park). Fabulous food! Especially liked the Lika soup and the boneless chicken in apple juice. "
