Experience an unforgettable winter getaway at our fully renovated cottage on Douglas Lake, ideal for creating lasting memories in Northern MI! Adorned with festive holiday decorations, including a charming small Christmas tree and illuminated with exterior lights, our cottage provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for a snowy retreat. Whether you enjoy snowmobiling, ice fishing, skiing, or simply relaxing indoors with a cozy cup of coffee while watching the snow fall, something for everyone.

Our prime location grants convenient access to a variety of popular winter activities:

Snowmobiling: The snowmobiling trail is easily accessible at the end of Van Rd. Our spacious driveway can accommodate a truck and trailer, as well as several additional vehicles. Please ensure you have an up-to-date snowmobile trail permit!

Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding: Nub's Nob Ski Resort and Boyne Highlands, both renowned ski destinations in Harbor Springs, are approximately 25 minutes away. These resorts offer a range of activities, including skiing, snowboarding, and tubing.

Additionally, explore the websites for Petoskey and Harbor Springs, which feature numerous winter festivals and events starting in December—fun for the entire family!

We are also proud to be dog-friendly! Feel free to bring your furry companions along to enjoy the winter wonderland with your family.

Beautiful Douglas Lake Cottage!
I just returned home from a wonderful vacation at the Cottage on Douglas Lake! The host of this property takes great care to insure her guests have everything they need to make their stay very special…a huge fire pit filled with wood, kayaks at the waters edge, a big comfy hammock, beach towels, children’s books/games and even dog bowls! A guest basket filled with treats (including all the makings for S’Mores) was yet another fun surprise! The home was very pretty and immaculate. The views of the lake were magical! Always happy to find these hidden gems!
