"Well-maintained hotel in a lovely country village. The building has been there a long time, but everything was clean and worked well. The hotel restaurant was very busy all the time! I found the food and service outstanding. The local area is full of walking paths and plenty of natural beauty."

"I enjoyed my stay very much, the staff of the hotel made my stay very enjoyable. Easy to communicate and super friendly! Only thing that was tough was the hotel did not offer any face towels, or wash rags. They only had a a bath towel and what I assumed was a floor mat towel. But outside of that the stay was perfect! Would definitely stay in this hotel again "

" Quaint,beautiful view on the canal with a bridge - like a postcard of an old Freisian town Rooms modern and spotless - A little small perhaps. Staff is 20 out of 10 .Stayed 4 days in this lovely place. Best of the many places we stayed during our 17 days in the Netherlands.."

"The place exceeded our expectations. Lawrence is a first class host. The place is really quirky and well worth the money. Leeuwarden is just a fantastic base in the north of the country and we made a visit to one of the Wadden Islands with a two hour ferry journey which was splendid. "

"Netjes en schoon, maar niet geschikt als gezin. Teveel rumoer buiten en onze bovenburen maakten veel lawaai middenin de nacht na het stappen. We moesten ook nog extra betalen voor handdoeken en bedlinnen, dat zit normaliter toch echt in een hoteltarief. "

Country calm and cosiness

"Spacious combined living, dining and kitchen area plus a large bathroom made our stay very nice. We also enjoyed meeting and feeding the pony, two rabbits, chickens and two cats on the property. Beautiful open views across green farm fields gave us respite from crowded city spaces. And fresh chicken eggs were delicious!"

A Gem in the heart of Friesland

"Wow and wow!! I dont even know where to begin...Huns 16 is such a picturesque and quaint place! Pascal and Susanne have put so much thought into making sure everyrhing is explained and easy to find things in and around the house. The history restored in the house takes you back in time with the canal and horses outside your window, it is such a relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend this Gem to anyone. We will definitely book again for another trip back to Friesland!"
