"Fantastic stay at Alexandra Court, from the cute, four-legged welcoming committee to the delicious breakfast (I had a veggie version of a full English, nothing was too much trouble.) The wifi connection was great for a work Zoom call, and the property itself was a lot closer to the town centre than I expected. Will stay again!"

"The monastery has beautiful gardens to explore in any weather. The accommodation itself is spartan and authentic to the purpose, but is still good material value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for the gardens alone, but the unique experience is also an attraction."

"Patrick and his wife were very welcoming, the property is dated but comfortable and clean and very reasonably priced. The surrounding area is a short walk away, with some nice pubs, restaurants (with gluten free options), shops and a Tesco etc... The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been some comfy chairs or small sofa in the room as I personally struggle watching TV in bed, due to health issues, but other than that it was a pleasant stay."
