"Another fabulous visit to The Spa. Unfortunately only two nights this year! All the building work has been completed and it’s a wow. Yet again the greatest asset of this hotel is its staff. These are the friendliest group of people who will literally do anything to make sure your visit is splendid. Not everything can be perfect but be sure that The Spa will work hard to reach the top."

"On one side, this hotel looks out over a car park, on the other side over the sea or the harbour + abbey. You pay extra for views, but it is worth it: it is the best view you are going to get anywhere in Whitby. As for the hotel itself: it is showing its age, but has been well maintained e.g. updated bathrooms, beds are comfortable and exceptionally large. Good restaurant too. We were very happy there. Only minor complaint is no thermostatic valve on the showers. Other than that, this hotel is excellent."

Slight improvements could be a fridge and dustpan in sheperds hut and a bin in back garden. Thanks for an wonderful weekend."
