"Although it’s unassuming when you arrive the back of the property is beautiful, with a terrace, pool and riverbank. Great start, great dinner and breakfast, spotlessly clean room. We enjoyed our stay and would have liked to stay longer."

"We actually came to this house BY MISTAKE. We had thought we were making a booking far away, and only discovered that we were going here the night before. (Our mistake.) It was a delight - and a relief - therefore to find that the place was really lovely. The lake is nice, a few miles away, and you could spend days there, but apart from that there’s not a great deal nearby. However, the house itself is lovely – the garden is lovely, and the host, Maelissa, was sweet, welcoming and helpful. The garden is big and there are three bedrooms, each with a bathroom. The central area is a nice family area with kitchen, dining table and sofas. There’s a barbecue outside and we ate many meals outside at the large table. Perhaps the highlight for me was THE HAMMOCK. I could - and did - spend hours in it with my book. We made some family videos which we put on Instagram made at the house. Look at @SomeVirgos if interested. "

"From the initial communication with the owner to our departure after two weeks of relaxation everything was ideal. We found the property very authentic, comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. The location perfect for us as we love rural France. We will definitely consider returning here again"

"Everything and everyone were great at the Hôtel Emeraude. We were welcomed warmly, told where the room was which was bright and spacious and had air-con which was a bonus as it was a hot day. We were advised on where to park, breakfast and dining options. The area around the hotel is gorgeous and there is a lovely view on the lake from the terrace where we had dinner. I wouldhappily stay there again."

The owner was so welcoming, our room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was served in a nice room and the restaurant experience was superb - we had a delicious dinner outside on the terrace. "We enjoyed a lovely week at the Gite. The house was a very comfortable , cool, converted barn with a well equipped kitchen / dining room and a nice outside space for eating too. The pool area was lovely - very clean and peaceful. The bathroom is relatively basic with only one (separate) toilet. Lovely comfortable beds and beautiful surrounding countryside. "Everything you need for a wind-down in the country. All you could need is provided in the clean and comfortable gite. Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door. Genial hosts with good local knowledge, friendly and discrete. "

"After initial booking, don't expect much more help from the booking agency. And if French is not your spoken language, hire or ask a french speaking friend to help with booking the vendors. The recommended caterers are ok. Book the times 30 minutes earlier to ensure it's on time. And make sure ALL details are in writing and explored, or you may be disappointed."
