"This was our final stop on our Ireland vacation. The room was fantastic! I love the old historical building, the location and the staff were great! The only thing that was not so good was across the street there was a club. People were outside smoking what smelled like something other than marijuana. "Avoca House was a great balance to the busy center of Dublin. Being near the Botanic Gardens made for a nice walk interval after arrival on the red-eye flight and nap time! The bed was wonderful. When we awoke, we were refreshed enough to get the bus (7 minute walk from Avoca) into the Temple Bar area for dinner and a stroll through the high-energy neighborhood. "What a charming bed and breakfast! First the friendly staff makes you feel very welcomed to start. Then the clean comfortable spacious room and the lovely bed makes you feel home. And they immediately refresh you with some tea and cake soon after your arrival. The breakfast was lovely, and the swing on the front, the trail behind the house... All wonderful! I also ordered the picnic for the hike, and it had enough to feed four for just the two of us. I would definitely recommend."

"Lovely room with great black out curtains as I needed a small nap. Wifi great. I really liked the private area for guests to eat, overlooked the garden. The bathroom was huge which for a girl is great. There was a little box on the floor which had items you could take if you forgot something, had never seen that before, lovely little touch. Great location if using the rail network, 5 mins walk. I walked to the sea which was 10 mins away. Would be back and highly recommend"
