"After the challenges of checking in, this place was charming. Figured out how to walk into town. Nice breakfast. Charming host with limited English. Lovely old house full of antiques."

"Bedding and towels and toilet roll not replaced, only one pillow each and never anyone on the desk, you had to call a number to contact anyone. Over all it was clean and very well priced. No kettle or iron or hairdryer and shower gel provided was empty, smallest shower I’ve ever seen but good water pressure. "

"Beautiful property, great breakfast. Our stay was spoilt be being asked by the owner to check out two hours earlier than advertised, ie at 10am, so beware if you are checking out on Sunday. We felt we had no choice but to comply - it should not have been like that. In the rush to vacate our rooms we forgot we had to pay cash, rather than the credit card details given on booking. "Beautiful surrounding. Very clean and c=great location. The down side it was too cold (not able to heat and it was around 10 degrees Celcius! (brrrr)"

"The owners mother was half an hour late to let us into the property meaning we were standing in 40 degree heat waiting for her, no apology once she arrived! "Luna Chalet are rustic chalets, and I must admit that the unit given to us was very comfortable with great views. Nice bedding, good towels, all dishes and soap needed. The only negative is that they supply the nespresso type machines but with no pods. It would have been nice to have coffee in the morning. A lot of channels on the television also. "Close to Fundao and Covilha this location is perfect for those who like to be surrounded by nature yet close to town. The house is nice, yet rustic. As it mentions it’s off the grid, the house is heated by the fireplace, which is connected to a boiler system that also heats the towel rack and the 2 radiators in the bedrooms. Stunning views and comfortable rooms.

"Spectacular views. Very clean and comfortable. Up a very long and windy, steep road so didn't want to venture back out and ate dinner at the hotel. Food was good enough but rather pricy for what you got. Breakfast was spectacular though."

"We had a very nice stay at this hotel in the mountains. There were some nice (though not easy) walks nearby me the hotel felt much like a wellness retreat. We opted for 1/2 board (breakfast dinner) since there were not a lot of spots nearby and the driving made me a bit nervous. The menu had good selection and I appreciated seeing wines on the menu from their Duoro vineyard location. "

"The stay was very relaxing. Nice property and good mountain view from the Family Villa. The manager Ms. Carlota was very kind, polite and accomodative to every request.She arranged for special decrations for my daughter"s birthday. The front office staff do their best and Mr. Nuno deserves a special mention.Overall, a very good experience.God bless you, all."
