"We arrived at the hotel late at night, but was greeted with a great surprise that our room was upgraded to a corner suite! (as other rooms were fully booked on that day) The view from the room was fantastic with river, pools, sea views on the both sides. "The property is in an incredible location with breathtaking views. Even though it’s on a public beach, it still felt super exclusive and private. "Excellent/wonderful. Beautiful facility/setting and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was the best I had in all of Sri Lanka. The dinner choices were wide ranging an excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. About a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort. Highly recommend. "

"Highly recommended!! The location is great, my room was spacious and well equipped, the food is plentiful and delicious and all the staff are happy, friendly and totally adorable!! If you're staying over Christmas/New Year, the extra effort with decorations and evening schedules is really lovely - the best I've experienced. "Enjoyed my stay. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The hotel itself is nice but the rooms are a bit dated. I would consider this a 4 not 5 star hotel. Special shout-out to Subhadra who was fantastic from housekeeping my entire staff. Definitely a highlight. Would recommend this hotel. "

"Got the ocean view room, and the view of the ocean is absolutely mesmerizing. The pool bar in the hotel is really a nice place to relax. Only one simple complaint I'd have is that the hotel doesn't have a big enough beach. "

"I booked Kurunduketiya as a birthday present for my partners 30th and some nice accommodation to finish our holiday at. However due to poor administrational errors, the resort didn’t have the correct details of our booking which we had paid for in full. It wasn’t until I reached out with questions about the booking 5 days prior that they contacted me to tell me that they had double booked and that we had to cut our stay short one night. They did offer up accomodation at another resort, however it was far inferior and had poor reviews. This then meant that rather than relaxing and enjoying our final day in Sri Lanka, we had to pack up and move to different accommodation for the final night. What made the whole experience worse was that rather than issuing me a full refund promptly, the manager Jayomi took a long time to resolve the issue fully and has ultimately left me out of pocket. The accomodation itself was beautiful, but it was a very disappointing way to end the trip. Particularly given the way it was handled so poorly with management and Expedia. "
