"We booked to stay at Haus Saarland am Rennsteig. On arriving at the hotel we found it was closed and a notice telling us to go to another hotel, Hotel Thuringenschanze which was about 0.5km away. Since we had arrived by public transport we had to walk there with our luggage. On checking in at the new hotel we were not offered Oberhof guest cards. This meant that we were unable to obtain the guest card discount when we visited the nearby SkiHalle. We asked to stay an extra night. We paid...

"Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und eignet sich für Besucher 60+, die gerne in vergangenen Zeiten schwelgen. Modern ist anders. Es liegt im Tal, ist daher ziemlich dunkel. "Our family quite enjoyed our stay here. Our room was very clean and well-appointed and we enjoyed the comfortable common area with a kitchen and tables for eating and game playing. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and live onsight so are generally very available. Wir sind zu dritt(Kind 12) mit Hund angereist.Das ist genau das richtige für Leute die einfach mal dem grauen Alltag entfliehen wollen.
