"The pub and the rooms were very nice but the service needs to improve. We had booked a table for three of us for our first night but when we arrived, someone else was sitting at that table and the staff didn't seem to care. We were offered another table in the 'dog friendly' part of the pub but refused it. One of the staff said (rather indignantly) that the whole of the pub was 'dog friendly' which seems odd as that is not what the sign said. Throughout our stay there was a black dog running...

"For an overnight on business this is ideal. Clean room, decent shower, comfy bed and good wifi. I only put wifi last because its work. Friendly staff and the food in the pub next door is quite nice , you know a variety of favourites from a chain pub yet good value. "

"Another really comfortable stay in quality surroundings and a warm welcome from the staff. The Hart Suite is cosy and welcoming with great views over the surrounding countryside. "Nice enough staff. The pub looked like a 1970’s Benidorm recreation of a British pub with a ceiling full of beer mats. Food was ok but a little overpriced for pub grub. The outside area was filthy. The doors to the outbuildings that house the rooms were ramshackle. The rooms themselves looked like they were last decorated about 30 years ago. The TV was a 20 year old mini tv with free view that didn’t hold the signal. Neither tv or kettle had a PAT testing sticker. The bathroom was grubby...

"Lovely place, our room was a great size with a huge bed, fridge, microwave, oven, hob, cutlery and crockery. Great view overlooking the main road, fab for people watching. There was a smokey smell in our bathroom but thats not the fault of the hotel, previous guests not respecting the rules, it wasnt bad enough to complain but I've read they are very accommodating if a guest isn’t happy. We had a huge bathroom with a good shower and it was about a 10 minute walk to city centre but there's plenty...
