"The villa is wonderful. Amazing location in the hills, fantastic pool and outdoor space, comfortable traditional interior. Everything you need in the kitchen to prepare Tuscan meals. Piazza Al Serchio is within walking distance with good amenities, supermarket and train station. Local food and wine is superb and very good value. We cannot wait to return."

"The property is a super conversion and in a beautiful and quiet village up in the mountains. Fabio is a wonderful host who is very welcoming, easily contactable and makes sure you have everything you need during your holiday. "We loved our stay at the villa. There was plenty of room and the kids loved the pool. The hosts were helpful. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence are outstanding. The nearer towns of Barga and Castelnuovo are also very attractive. The area has recently been a center of attention on BBC with Amanda Holden, Rob Rinder and Clive Myrie. However, if you don't like heights and hairpin bends up a mountainside, this might not be the villa for you."

"It's a long drive up winding hills, but once you arrive in Sassi, you can forget about all your worries, sit back and relax. The main farmhouse and the cottage are both well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool was a godsend on especially hot days, especially for the children, who spent hours playing Marco Polo and other water games well into the evening. Our host was extremely helpful and was a walking encyclopedia of information about the surrounding areas, too....

"The property was clean and well equipped the pool was large and very clean. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. Weather was against us as the area is quite mountainous and therefore subject o fluctuations. Car is essential. Small town nearby has everything required. Restaurant within walking distance down a steep winding road but unfortunately was closed for the majority of our stay. "

The setting was absolutely stunning and the swimming pool a highlight and where we spent most of our days.
