4 spacious and well appointed bedrooms:
1. Main floor Suite (king) includes a custom fireplace, walk in closet, private screened porch and full bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a walk in shower with separately controlled dual shower heads. Many of our reservations are for just one couple and this main floor suite is such a relaxing space. We really feel like we are 'away' when we are up here.
2 & 3. The second floor features two beautiful guest suites (queen bed), each with a generously sized walk in closet (built in shelving, ample hanging space and hangers) and an ensuite full bathroom. Private from each other and the rest of the home. The 2nd floor loft lounge area and balcony, combined with these bedrooms makes for a really lovely space for guests.
4. Lower level bunk room is huge and boasts three bunks (each is a twin over full bed) with an adjacent full bath.
These are 4 real bedrooms, not just a space with a bed added.
And more: There is a mountain of pillows to choose from (two for each bed plus extras), high end linens and each bedroom has its own sitting area, thermostat (radiant in floor heating), room darkening shades or blinds and two full size dressers in addition to closets making for a comfortable and effortless travel experience.

In the winter, you are steps away from walking right onto Mirror Lake for some winter wonderland adventure and in the summer grab one of our lake floats and head to the sandy beach or pop in along the way. 15 minutes to Whiteface ski and walking distance to Olympic oval & rinks.
The kitchen is well stocked for baking, grilling and family meal prep and includes a 6 burner gas stove with two ovens, an island that seats 5, and an adjacent screened porch with a propane grill and outdoor dining area. A coffee break couldn't be easier, chose from an espresso pot, french press, drip coffee maker or a keurig machine. We cook, bake and grill A LOT and love that we have space for multiple chefs and can comfortably entertain family and friends while whipping up a meal. A large 8 seat dining area completes the main level.
Got Gear? Winter gear? Summer gear? Our heated garage is the unsung essential amenity for an ADK winter. EV charging available. Take advantage like a group of NCAA skiers who set up their ski-tuning operation in the garage or like a group of outdoor enthusiasts traveling with 6 custom bikes, 4 bulky golf bags and one sportsman's lifetime collection of fishing gear, all stashed and staged securely and conveniently, allowing our guests to come and go easily between activities.
Our home away from home is fully furnished and equipped with more than just the essentials to make this a great getaway for family and friends. A few of the welcome extras include: waffle maker, spice drawer, grill w/propane, kitchen-aid mixer & baking pans, loads of board games & puzzles, picnic basket & beach towels, Sonos speakers & Lutron lighting, shampoo, conditioner, body wash & hair dryer in each full bath. All beds dressed and ready to go making for an effortless stay in beautiful Lake Placid.

*Friend of the House: we are fortunate to host annual repeat guests each season. A good majority of our bookable days are now being held for our friends of the house. Please inquire about blocked dates and reach out to become a friend of the house too.
*Remote work? We've spent many weeks here as a WFH location and it's great! Includes: desk w/monitor on main floor (printer available), desk in 2nd floor bedroom, desk in loft and great WIFI throughout the home. Please message us if you would like to know more and happy to help arrange things on our end for best circumstances (need an additional monitor or the printer set up in a specific spot?).
*1 dog is possible. Please message owner prior to finalizing booking for pet addendum (to be signed by lease holder and pet owner). Fee applies. Well behaved people and dogs welcome.

*Occupancy: day/night occupancy is limited to amount in reservation. If you wish to host something in our home please reach out to review what is possible (BBQ, catered dinner, anything, host approval required) as we are a “no event, no party”. Please account for all day use/overnight guests in your guest count.
*No Smoking premises includes no cigarettes, cigars, vaping, marijuana, etc and includes indoor and all outdoor spaces. No smoking Outdoor includes: driveway, garage, balcony, porches, firepit area, yard. If you have a smoker in your group we are not a good match. If you/guests wish to smoke marijuana we are not a good match. Do not rent this property if you wish to smoke.
*Bunk beds are: two twin over full, 1 twin over futon couch that opens to full bed.
*Parking: up to 4 vehicles. no street parking available in this neighborhood, typical of LP. If parking for more than 4 vehicles is needed we would not be a good match.
*Community regulations include: quiet hours 9pm - 7am, no firepit fire after 10pm, no parking on lawn.
