"We had a lovely stay -- quite a cozy and well-appointed cabin, in an out-of-the-way spot that let us explore the area and just hunker down and enjoy the solitude, as the mood took us. Our host was very welcoming and considerate. A wonderful spot!"

"I needed last minute accommodations, and wanted something different than just another motel. This place was PERFECT. Absolutely cozy and comfortable cabin, a lovely outdoor space to relax or stargaze, and a very friendly host who has clearly put care and effort into this space. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a “glamping” type stay, and it was well above my expectations. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer!"

"This little cabin was perfect for my boyfriend, pup, and me. Had no trouble finding it, and it was right on the lake so we were able to do some ice fishing! Our sled broke down and Brad was nice enough to offer help/borrow tools to fix it! His dogs were adorable. We didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend this spot for a little getaway, we booked it last second and have no regrets. Thanks again Brad!!"

"This little log cabin is like something out of a movie. It is only 10 minutes from town which has everything you need but feels like you are way more peaceful and remote. Being there in December, everything was snow covered and gorgeous. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable; even in December it got very warm and had plenty of warm water. "The cabins were clean and cozy. Convenient to store and restaurants. Price was reasonable. I will say, the showers are a bit strange with the controls outside the shower itself, also no barrier to keep water in the shower. But the heat lamps in the bathroom were wonderful after returning from a COLD ride!! Would definitely stay again."

"We loved the location of this property. We have our own kayaks and we loved how easy it was to get them in and out of the water. We also enjoyed sitting on the wraparound porch where there is a nice breeze coming off of the other lake across the street. The kitchen is recently renovated and the bedrooms are nice and cozy. I have also never seen a place so well stocked with firewood. Property managers are ver friendly and helpful. 10/10."

"Cozy family get away with great access to the lake. Plenty of room for our family of 4 including to large teenage boys. Set up was perfect to give our boys and ourselves space while spending plenty of quality family time for games and meals. Great access to the lake for our ice fishing adventure! Highly recommend this stay!"

"Everything was awesome! It was the perfect size for two people! Super comfy and cozy. We were in a great spot- short drive to some cool towns, and close to mountains for some hikes! It was super quiet, we enjoyed every second! Easy to find and checkin! "

"This place is set near one end of a lovely lake. We stayed there on a rainy weekend so it was time spent largely indoors. The kitchen was functional and well equipped. The downsides were that overall the lighting in the place was poor. Perhaps not a dealbreaker in the summer, but definitely a downer in inclement weather and shorter fall days. Kitchen light fixures were burnt out. Property management came and fixed one. The other one over the kitchen sink needed replacing and that didn't...

This immaculate hotel lets you love Maine

"The room was tidy and overlooked the river. Falling asleep to the sound of water rushing over the old mill dam was very special. The restaurant below the hotel had the best coffee and espresso in Maine. No hyperbole. The best. We had a fabulous meal in the restaurant over the weekend. It is a “you get what is fresh and in season” menu with a few decisions for the guest to customize. People may unfairly consider this restrictive whereas we thought it highly pragmatic and forward thinking. If there’s only a few wines, it’s because they are good. If there’s only a few options on main courses, also good. The service and food was excellent overall. In terms of hotel experiences, we enjoyed the self service entry and checkout. No lines, final bills, awkward barriers in or out. There are a lot of hidden gems in Maine, and people ramble about culinary experiences that punch above their weight class. Our experience was a nuanced, sensory joy just being around salt of the earth locals and a weekend getaway that firmly cemented itself as just a time when everything felt right. We’ve done a lot of Michelin dining, and sometimes the se donner de grands airs (putting on airs) is cloistering and decimates mirth and the quiet smiles of a thing done consistently well because it’s the right way to live. This experience lets you love Maine."
