"We returned to En Macary this year and, like last year, had a fabulous time. Jean-Claude and Francoise were the perfect hosts and the house, garden and pool continue to exceed expectations. "We've stayed in many self catering cottages and had a very different experience in this one. On VRBO the gite is advertised as having a lake view, its no where near a lake! After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. There was no mention of this on VRBO, so the owner waived the charge. We arrived at 4pm on a Sunday and immediately had to find a supermarket as no basics/welcome pack was provided e.g bread,...

"The gite is exactly as it appears on the photos - with beautiful gardens (space for kids to play) and private space to sit out and eat outside. The kitchen is fully kitted out with everything you could want too (amazing cooker!) The location in the hamlet of Entrevergnes Haut is quiet (the neighbours do fix cars in their big garage out the front though - it didn't bother us at all but might bother those who want complete quiet)- and there are beautiful hill top and valley walks from the front...
