"The decor of the cottage was stunning. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Location was also really good very near the beach, park, shops and cafes etc. Parking was easy right outside. I would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed lovely walks along the promenade. A few minor tweaks needed to make this a top class stay. Hairdryer and remote control not working correctly - both need replaced. Sofa was not very comfortable cushions were flat and worn. "When we arrived the check in process was very easy. The cottage itself was very clean and warm. Bed was comfortable and two bathrooms which is great of you stay with a whole family. If you want to use the hot tub make sure to tell the owners immediately once you book. I told them a week before arriving and had had to ask twice to be able to use it. We could see in the guest book other people had been greeted with welcome basket. We didn’t. Would also been great if there were a welcome letter...

"This is a very nice property ideal for a large family or maybe 3 couples. Three fishermen cottages from the mid-1700s have been converted to make this spectacular house with incredible views over the Firth of Forth. It has been tastefully renovated and is well equipped. We were there with 7 people, two children 4 & 7, one young adult, and two couples. It worked very well for us. "Working over Christmas we booked this break to get away from all the madness. Just us and the dog. Thimblewynd was just perfect and we loved it. Peaceful and comfy throughout we chilled out in front of thr log burner or in the hot tub, the tv wasn't on once! We eat at the Kirkstyle Inn which was lovely but made ourselves breakfast and snacks in the well equipped kitchen. There was not a single thing we could fault and we loved every minute. Thanks to Maggie for hosting us. "
