"Nice clean, fairly modern cottage with nice views out the back and a great hot tub and firepit outside.For the quality of the home, the following were lacking- shampoo and conditioner (typically provided in this kind of home)- hair dryer- essentials in the kitchen (oil, basic spices)- the fireplace could've been either a real gas fire with a flame or a real wood fireplace. Instead, it has a faux electric screen of fake flames with gas heater behind."

"This was our first stay in a VRBO and we felt very much at home. The house was cozy, well maintained, very clean, and well equipped. The location was excellent (just minutes from Ottawa) and was located in a nice neighbourhood.The property manager was very attentive. We would definitely stay again."

"We stayed here for our 7th anniversary. We planned to attend The Nordik Spa and the proximity was perfect. We could walk anywhere we wanted within 10 minutes. Super clean and beautiful place.Will be booking here again "

"Overall a older property that has been rennovated, very clean, spacious for 2 couples. Kitchen ok, could use a few more supplies. Has one washroom which is very modern, it is on the main floor and bedrooms are upstairs. Bedroons ok in size. one has a queen mattress while other has a double. Double mattress could use being replaced as one tended to roll to the middle. Overall a good value property within easy driving distance to downtown Ottawa."

"My daughter had a 3 night stay at Friendly Fires last week, and we came away very impressed and enjoyed the beautiful winter scenery. The pictures and description of the property in the listing are very accurate. When we arrived the lights were on (we arrived late) and a fire had the cottage nice and warm. "Nous avons un super beau séjour et le service des propriétaire m'a complètement épaté! J'avais oublié un gros sac de vêtement sale au chalet et les propriétaires l'ont gardés de côté pour moi ! Sa peut sembler anodin mais plusieurs chalets ne ce soucie pas de ses détails. J'avais dans le coin de 2000$ de vêtement dans ce sac et je pensais l'avoir perdu."

"Went for weekend skate on the canal and the location was perfect. Room is very basic but well equipped and comfortable. The desk attendees were very helpful even though it’s mainly a self serve concept. Wanted to watch some curling on TSN but streaming service did not work. Downtown very quiet on weekends but lots of options within 15 minute walk. "
