"Three days before leaving the UK we were contacted by the owner's agent saying we had to leave a large € deposit (now increased). I offered a credit card but they would only accept a cheque or cash. Appealed to owner who agreed to reduce but still had to leave a large amount in cash. Owner pointed out it was in his conditions. This is not communicated in the booking and I eventually I found it hidden, in French, in a sub menu, under House Rules, on the UK website. On departure we had to get to...

"The house is in an ideal location for the beach, town and Boulangerie. Easy walking to all areas as well as restaurants. It was very well equipped for our needs with a wonderful garden too. We would have liked a cupboard to put our groceries away in but all the cupboards were full. We had a good sized fridge and BBQ too. We would certainly return to the house for another holiday."

"Discussion avec la propriétaire à notre arrivée. Une machine à café Dolce Gusto était prévue dans le descriptif et il n'y en avait pas. J'ai contacté la proprio qui habite à 350 Kms de la location pour m'entendre dire que l'ancienne machine est tombée en panne mais qu'elle en a une chez elle mais qu'elle ne va pas parcourir 350 Kms pour me l'apporter. Je lui propose d'aller en acheter une et qu'elle me remboursera. Plus d'une demi heure de discussion avant qu'elle ne m'autorise à m'en ^procurer...

"The property near Dolus in D’Oleron is atypical for the area . It is a ranch style with loads of space, and different areas both inside and in the garden to enjoy. We had 12 people in the property for part of our stay and did not feel cramped. Arnaud was very welcoming and helpful. The pool was perfect and the air conditioning useful at times. Altogether a very charming place to stay - we hope to return in future!"

"Das Haus ist wundervoll . Wir waren sieben Erwachsenen. Alles war sehr sauber, alles war wie beschrieben und in der Küche war auch alles vorhanden und sehr sauber. Kleines mango, die Bäder sind klein und wenig ablagemöglichkeiten bei 7 Personen gewöhnungsbedürftig. Auch ist nur ein Bad für alle zugänglich, das eine Bad ist in einem Schlafzimmer mit dabei. Da ist es nicht so leicht zugänglich das es von allen nutzbar ist. Ein Sonnenschirm mehr wäre auch gut. Das alles hat den Aufenthalt nicht...

"With 7 members of the party keen to surf every day, this was an ideal location - 10 mins drive from Gurp beach (with a small parade of cafes and restaurants just beyond the campsite). It was also within easy reach (20-30 mins)of the pretty seaside resort of Soulac , supermarkets, petrol stations, local vineyards (with walk-in free tastings) and open markets as well as the bigger surf resort of Hourtin plage (and lake). The beach chalet itself was well equipped (once the broken oven was replaced)...

"A very nice site with trees and bushes separating the chalets from each other so there's some privacy. It's very quiet at this time of the year so perfect for what we wanted. Very close to the beach; 500 meters. Nice walks nearby. Chalets are well equipped and quite spacious with a deck for sitting. Car park space.
