"We stayed in the Playa Suite for 16 nights and enjoyed everything this place had to offer. The suite was as described and the location was fantastic..located in a quiet neighbourhood where we always felt very safe. Unfortunately there is a six story condo building going up across the street so construction noise during the day. It was an easy beautiful beach walk to town to do some shopping or to grab a bite at one of the many restaurants in town. The Thursday market was also a great little day...

"Cute small home, definitely smaller than it appears in pictures but cozy. The neighborhood itself is dirtier than expected but the proximity to the beach is key. The beach itself beats the ones I have visited prior in the area. Would stay again, just don’t judge the book cover when entering neighborhood like we did. There is a cute grocery store 1 block away with all the essentials you need."

"This was a very nice home and nicely appointed. In a quiet and newish neighbourhood that was about 3 blocks from the beach. Having no hot water was a drag, but Edgar quickly had the hot water boiler replaced. Some attention to small details would make the stay perfect. Eg: Batteries were dead in the air conditioner remote controls and there were some light bulbs burnt out. Basket strainers in the kitchen sink need to be replaced. Overall, it was a very nice experience."

"Very clean especially for beach area where sand can be an issue. Walkable through center of town to beach at 15 minutes with good places to eat and not overally saturated with tourism. Host very easy to get a hold of. The pool is a nice touch and we would hose off sand before getting in but nice feel before going to bed. in"

"We had dreamed about taking our family (Children, Grandchildren and great grandma - 4 generations) on a vacation for many years, but it always seemed out of reach and the logistics of how and where seemed a bit daunting.Then we found Las Palapas. "Our stay at casa Blanca in LDM was amazing. Paulie (the host) reached out ahead of our trip to make sure everything was ready and give us directions and she was there to greet us and make sure our stay was comfortable. We rented the golf cart and were able to use this to get down to the beach with towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards every day and to run into the town for meals and shops. "This is a lovely property on the beach. 10 to 15 minute walk for groceries. The staff are efficient and helpful. A delightful array of fresh fruit was provided at check in. There is a central washer and dryer for guests to use. We stayed in the casita for which there is an upcharge over the one bedroom apartment. "The home was a beautiful home. I just have some suggestions that would make it better. The stairs going down to the pool needs to have have handrails so older folks can get up and down them. Also I would suggest making the laundry room into a bathroom on the upper level and putting the laundry room on the 2nd floor by the staircase. "

"We stayed in villa 9 which is a nice sized studio. It has a very nice, well equipped kitchen and a very good sized bathroom and shower. Very nicely decorated. No elevator so be prepared to climb stairs but who doesn’t need a little exercise every day. It had great views of the ocean from the room and blackout curtains for that early morning sun and the rooftop is very nice with gorgeous views as well. There’s a pool on the ground level which my husband enjoyed and it’s just a short few blocks...

Nice Rooms

"The property was clean and staff friendly but it is located across the highway which you had to cross to get to the beach/downtown which could be tricky at times as it tends to quite busy. My biggest “complaint” is that we were only issued 2 towels, no hand towels for the bathroom and no tea towel or dishcloth for the kitchen which renders it somewhat useless if you cannot even wipe up a spill on the counter. Also, there were no blankets and I know that it is Mexico but a light blanket would have been nice, the staff did give us an extra set of sheets to use though. We stayed 2 nights and so going out to buy a tea towel etc does not really make sense. There is a store and a couple of restaurants in the same complex so that is convenient. "

"3rd time to this fantastic resort that’s as authentic Mexico you can’t get. If you’re looking for luxury, 5 star, white counters resort this is not the place for you. This is all about experiencing Mexican food, culture, and the people. Staff are all incredible, the beach is by far the best beach in all of Mexico and I’ve been to both Caribbean side and Pacific side. "

"Although this bungalow is set up for short stays, we were there for 3 weeks. Beautiful Guayabitos beach is accessible across the street. It is situated between Guayabitos Centro and La Penita with a short walk to each. The bungalow was comfortable, clean and had the basic necessities. The hosts , Enrique and family were super accommodating and a pleasure to meet. We would definitely return. "
