"Lovely gite in a lovely area. We particularly enjoyed going to the port to read in the shade and enjoy a drink in the bar/restaurants. Plenty to do and see in the local area with La Rochelle and Bordeaux within 90 minutes to go further afield. Jo was very welcoming and helpful, being only 20 minutes away if needed"

"Fabulous 3 bed gite with a large pool, air con, fast wifi, outdoor games and UK tv channels. Great for families. Handily placed - 30mins to Royan, 40 mins to Cognac, 50 mins to Bordeaux. Catherine, the hostess, couldn't do more for us. We had a great time (despite the weather) and would heartily recommend this idyllic, quiet get-away."

"We had a wonderful holiday at Davide and Cecile’s gîte. The pool is simply beautiful and the garden is huge so lots of space for the children to run around- and there is a football goal so my son was in heaven! There is also volleyball and badminton and boules and hammocks and lots of beautiful trees for shade. The gîte was very comfortable and stylish and there was air con units in the rooms. The location is excellent: St Savinien is a very picturesque town and we enjoyed playing on the river...

"This property is a peaceful shangrila. Our hosts Barbara and Kevin couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The property is an enclosed peace of paradise. After cognac tasting, going to the local farmers market, kayak races and wandering the lovely village of Jarnac we always looked forward to returning to our gite. "The property is beautifully situated with a lovely outlook and breath taking sunsets . It is an interesting area - lots of towns and villages to visit . "We weren’t disappointed by this property at all. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a wedding . I will say that this place while soundproofed, is not quiet, you can hear people in other rooms. The beds could be a bit more comfortable too. Other than that, our room was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English. The location is beautiful, we loved Jonzac and would return. "

The pool is a real bonus and Emma is a fantastic host always on hand if we needed anything but never intrusive.
