"Enjoyed our week at the Old Atelier. The gite is extremely well equipped, a home from home, wifi good and TV for the rainy day. Many places to visit within an hour's drive (or just over) so we easily filled our days."

We found the property very authentic, comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. The location perfect for us as we love rural France. We will definitely consider returning here again"

Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door. "This property should not be on vrbo site or advertised hosts were very pleasant on the phone as we were arriving late evening , very hard to find the property no number on the gate description is totally wrong near park and shops it was more like on an industrial site , eventually got into the property and was very very disappointed cleanliness was awful there was no lounge to sit and relax just two bedrooms , the bedding was appalling and was certainly not up to standard then to top it all there were cockroaches we have never got out of a place so fast , we then had no option but to sleep in the car bearing in mind I’m 75 , my husband 77 and my sister 78 plus our cockapoo Sacha in hind site I should have confronted the owners in the morning only we were all so tired we headed off to our next destination of Saumur. I rang Vrbo to complain and advise you of this property but found your representative most unhelpful and unsympathetic he even applied and asked if we would go back and take photos , I would suggest you do a spot check on this property to see for yourself what you are advertising , we had travelled up from Spain and we were desperate for a good nights sleep but no way could you sleep or stay in such a place - you will see from our ages we are pensioners and would be grateful for our money back or some sort of compensation I await for your response if no response I will be putting this property out on Trip Adviser to warn other people not to book or stay."
