"We actually came to this house BY MISTAKE. We had thought we were making a booking far away, and only discovered that we were going here the night before. (Our mistake.) It was a delight - and a relief - therefore to find that the place was really lovely. The lake is nice, a few miles away, and you could spend days there, but apart from that there’s not a great deal nearby. However, the house itself is lovely – the garden is lovely, and the host, Maelissa, was sweet, welcoming and helpful. The garden is big and there are three bedrooms, each with a bathroom. The central area is a nice family area with kitchen, dining table and sofas. There’s a barbecue outside and we ate many meals outside at the large table. Perhaps the highlight for me was THE HAMMOCK. I could - and did - spend hours in it with my book. We made some family videos which we put on Instagram made at the house. Look at @SomeVirgos if interested. "

"We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay in this lovely gîte. Sandra and Alun gave us a very warm welcome and were very helpful on where to visit and recommendations on where to eat. The accommodation is very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by and using the pool. We particularly enjoyed exploring Brantôme, Périgueux, Bourdeilles, the caves at Villars and the surrounding area. We highly recommend this gîte and would stay here again. "The property is a very high end beautifully maintained castle. Our room had a beautiful turret and was beautifully lit. All the accommodations were top notch and the service was excellent I would highly recommend and I plan to return. "
