Staying here was an AWESOME experience!
Out of all the places we stayed at in our short trip to Japan, Oyado Toji was THE BEST! It was great finding this guest house at Hotels.com. I would normally find something like this at Airbnb. The ease of contacting the hosts via email is great, however, I would've liked to have met them personally! Staying here was an AWESOME experience! How often do you get to stay at a typical Japanese home in Kyoto?! Although we could hear the neighbors upstairs, we counted it as part of the Japanese experience!! The garden is a peaceful spot, just wished the tree was in bloom! I would definitely want to stay here again and try going to the nearby onsen!! We were so tired from sightseeing that I opted for the bathtub instead...a close enough experience to an onsen hehe!
