We absolutely adored our time in Kyoto. Hotel was in a great location. Train station about a 10 minute walk. I was 7 months pregnant and I did just fine pulling my suitcase. Very neat neighborhood with plenty to see. Our room was on the tiny side but we did get what we paid for. This was just one stop on our honeymoon and the hotel staff had a bottle of wine in our room for the occasion. I appreciated the daily water bottles in our room. The included breakfast was a light one but definitely a nice start to our day. Our goal was to eat our way through Kyoto anyway! The staff was very courteous and made our stay a great one. Would totally stay here again. You will not be disappointed.

Exceptional customer service, from the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. It was raining on the day I arrived, immediately they went and retrieved several towels to dry myself and my bags. All staff were incredibly friendly throughout. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Had an included breakfast which had options for either a traditional Japanese or western style breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Great location with a friendly staff that speaks English. Very clean and comfortable facility. The breakfast offers a choice of two options and both are prepared well. Rooms are small and be warned, the bathroom is very small, but this did not detract from our stay. The price is reasonable and there are lots of shopping, restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

Best hotel experience I’ve had in Japan
Very friendly and helpful staff, had great recommendations for restaurants, decent sized rooms (for Japan) and a fantastic location. Definitely staying here when in Kyoto next. My only comment would be to request a room with a bed not under a window as the curtains don’t keep the sun from shining directly in your face.

The room was pretty and comfortable, with a closet. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and all speak English well. On the ground floor is a good indoor/outdoor cafe. There are two choices of Western style breakfast and they can make cafe latte. The hotel is well situated right off a main street in Gion, but still quiet. Would definitely recommend.
