Absolutely loved this hotel, favorite stay of the trip without a doubt. Staff were very welcoming from the beginning and it was a nice mix of modern and traditional. I think it's a perfect stay for large groups, considering how spacious the rooms are which is rare in Japan. A bit pricey but worth it and hope to come back someday soon.

My stay at this beautiful hotel was absolutely delightful! The bathroom was stunning, complete with a gorgeous bathtub that made for a luxurious experience. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to start the day off right. Kanra is 5 / 5 in all respects! The location is also great, quiet and not very touristy but a lot of food and coffee options walking distance from the hotel. Incredibly easy access to the Karasuma Gojo subway station as well.
