5/5 Excellent
"If you are visiting the Big Island, look no further than the western on Hapuna Beach! This resort is beaming with luxury, but also offers a beachy vibe and many spaces to escape to on the property. The food at Meridia is absolutely incredible and it is the best restaurant on the island as far as food and views! The bed in the room is like sleeping on a cloud, And the bathrooms are exquisite, equipped with dual sinks, a bathtub and a glass walk-in shower. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and received a complementary bottle of champagne and a room upgrade, courtesy of our personal concierge at the hotel, Megan! From the moment we walked in, we felt the aloha spirit! Get down to the adult pool no later than 9 AM or else people will hold their chairs and leave for the afternoon. We spent time on the ocean, and the adult pool, ate at all of the restaurants and sat at the Pika open-air bar for after-pool/beach drinks and just watched the ocean.
We took the free shuttle to the sister resort, Mauna Kea, ate at the incredible Copper Bar and Hau Tree on the ocean. Manta restaurant looks pretty, but has no view like the others. We went to completely unplugged for six nights, so we did not rent a car, and still had plenty to do at the resort, never missing a drop of its beauty.
This will be our permanent go to resort on the big island! Mahalo!!!"
