"This is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Understated and tasteful elegance. Fantastic rooms with amazing balconies, world class beach, impeccable service, excellent grounds, fine dining at Manta, but also a beachfront casual bar/restaurant, and Copper Bar in between and our favorite. They have an Asian Art Collection worthy of a museum. This was out of our usual price range, a big splurge, and worth every penny. We are already trying to figure out how to swing it to go back next winter. "

"They upgraded us to a suite for our honeymoon. The rooms are newly redone and are so beautiful and thoughtful. The Gold experience made us feel like royalty, although I would think it would maybe include some parking perks or pool perks. The grounds of the hotel were outstanding. First time I ever thought - I would travel specifically to stay at another fairmont hotel. "

"Really enjoyed the scenic rural country stay! This is a special part of the island. Short walk to Waipio valley lookout and short drive into historic Honakaa. The hosts were very welcoming and the fresh fruit from their garden was an exceptional treat. I loved the dogs, cats, and farmlife all around. A truly unique stay. Would love to stay again for some peace, quiet, and nature :)Mahalo!"

"Beautiful views and home is appointed as described. There was severe weather resulting in our early departure due to a loss of electrical and plumbing. We were graciously reimbursed for the day we could not stay there. The 3k security deposit was required very early and held for the maximum 14 days after checkout, which I found annoying. The resident host is just lovely and did all she could to accommodate Mother Nature's wrath."
