Barefoot Manta Island

3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (138)
"However very hard to get to, we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days on the island. It was quiet and safe and we felt very much at peace in our bure, thus the added bonus of its inaccessibility to the noisy public. The Fijian staff are amazingly friendly and welcoming. If there was a negative it would be the food/cooking quality. The breakfasts were outstanding but the buffet-style dinners and lunches were too bland and overcooked and became repetitive! "

"Bill and his family were great hosts. We had a few hiccups with a broken water line but it was fixed quickly. We had the Honor of attending the 1yr passing celebration of their chief. The food and hospitality was fantastic. The weather wasn't on our side most of the trip "

Ocean view garden homestay

6.0 out of 10, (3)
"Very warm welcome off the boat from Bill and Paula, our hosts. The accommodation was not as expected or as described on the website. This was a surprise and a disapointment. Very basic accommodation and facilities shared with the extended family. The homestay was situated on a hill with an uneven, steep path to it. The view from the deck, where food was served, was magnificent, overlooking the bay and the nearby Waya island. The beach near the village was disappointing, as there was much rubbish...
