"If you are ready to be pampered in the most lovely, historic setting then the Zevely Inn is for you! Our room was cozy and the made-from-stratch breakfasts served by the innkeeper absolutely delicious! And she was delightful, so welcoming and full of stories, but still giving us privacy to soak in every morsel of Old Salem charm in the home owned by Dr. Zevely. We're going back as soon as possible!"

"The property was nice and the staff was friendly! Breakfast selections were wonderful. At check in they put where I requested and happily extended us when we needed it. Room was clean but parking was a bit limited. It is first come first serve and limited handicap parking where the back rooms are. I would stay there again. "

"Despite being local, I’ve never stayed overnight at the Brookstown Inn, but have wanted to for a long time. I treated myself as a Retirement gift and it was wonderful. I love the historical building and all the EXTRAS like milk & cookies served at bedtime! The hot breakfast was very good and Sally the cat is a precious Resident."

"I will start with the one negative: dog hair. At check out, the lovely lady at the reception mentioned that this is a pet friendly facility. To which I replied, and even so, one expects the entire room to be cleaned between guests, including our four-legged guests 😂 But, after using the additional blanket and sheet from the closet to cover up the two-seater pull out couch and the one seater lounge chair, we were quite happy with our accommodations! "We stayed in room 414 which had white paint splattered in many places on the laminate floor, no mirror in the bedroom. We were looking for an ice machine and found where it should be in the hallway but the machine was missing"

"Really great spot for the whole family. Large suites were nice. Staff was awesome. Stephanie was A and deserves a raise. Only downside was room smelled like someone had just cooked Chinese food in it but only a minor annoyance. All in all great spot and the breakfast was really good too."

What a Great Place my

"On the approach, this house is in a very quiet, clean and safe area.It is in between a lot of points of interest and shops. And real close to downtown K'ville.The house inside and out is immaculate and very well appointed with modern features. One part that was really nice was an area off the side that looks like what was a garage and now enclosed off the dining room with a few comfy seats and a TV. This room is on time opposite side of the house and away from the bedrooms so if people wanted to stay up to watch TV while the others slept, they could close the door and be secluded. The rooms are very quiet and divided by closets, so the soundproofing is nice. We were there just one night but extended stays would be no problem here! Nice deck off the back as well. Great place! The house inside and out is immaculate"

"The owners have beautifully decorated and stocked this lovely home. The attention to detail and decor is masterfully created. The furniture is all comfortable and welcoming. The beds were so comfortable and had all the pillows and extra blankets you could ever need. Extras like the record player, ping pong table, fireplace, games and books give guests plenty to fill their free time. Staying here feels like a true vacation. The location is perfect for feeling remote yet being close to stores, restaurants and the highway. I’m looking forward to booking more stays here in the future! "

Comfortable, family-friendly home with great amenities

"My family (husband and two kids ages 2 and 4) and I loved our stay in this beautiful home! We were in town for a zoo trip and to see friends who live in Greensboro and Winston-Salem. This home was a great in-between location that provided a quiet, comfortable place to come home to after our long busy days. It was incredibly clean and well-stocked with kid-friendly items such as dinnerware, high chair, toddler bed rail, pack n play, children’s toys and books. My kids also loved the tire swing and the little stream outside! The kitchen was well-stocked and the coffee station and snacks provided were such a hospitable touch. The host, Don, was very responsive in all our communications and ensuring we had a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this home and hope to be able to visit again in the future!"

"Perfect small unit for a quick weekend in Kernersville. The house has a nice walk-in shower. It was great for my elderly mom. I would’ve liked a grab bar in the shower. Nevertheless, the little place was just the perfect size. "
