The place is old and dirty, I would not stay here again. Advice to the hotel management: you need to renovate the rooms. You will get more and more bad reviews and less income and one day you can't afford to renovate (or get a loan) and you go bankrupt. Here are some of the problems: walls, and ceiling have cracks and stains. Bathroom smells like a sewer. The bathroom door is made of plastic and obviously has broken down. You cannot close the bathroom door. The bathroom window has no glass, only a mosquito net with a big hole in it. Mosquitoes and insects come in via bathroom to bed room. Saw a huge cockroach in the room who crawled in under the bed. I looks like it has been heavily used for 30 years. Mirror, WC, shower, etc are filthy. The good things were: sheets were clean, WiFi worked in my room even though they said it does not. It is far to the beach, like 3 km, but there is a motorbike rental next door. First time I left the room, a cleaning lady yelled after me: "Taxi?!". If you know Samui (or other tourist places in Thailand) you know that the taxis are the biggest rip off of foreigners, who pay about 10 times the market prices. So if they want to get you a taxi, it is not a good thing. And I felt that I did not want that lady in my room with my belongings. I had no trust at all in her after something like that. In summary: it is very dirty and old, run down. The manager was friendly enough, so I hope he renovates the place to make it work.
