"If ever I were to own a cabin, it would be of the design of this one. Rustic feel with solid and complete foundational amenities. Greats: cathedral ceiling/loft/windows, large porch, bbq, wood stove, no TV, solid internet, great shower and bathroom, firm and comfortable mattresses. Nit-picky cons: jacuzzi isn't really a traditional hot tub, 30 min drive to/from Ashland on a very winding (yet picturesque) road, check-out time of 10am with $35 fee to extend to noon. "Although the owner was good with communication this property is VERY OLD. They did have a fire going when we got there but it really only heats up the area its in. The rest of the house is very cold, and only a couple electric heaters that do not keep up. The beds slept good and the bedding was clean, but the rest of the house (floors, shelves, ect..) where very dirty."

The restaurant was closed, but the Hyatt was 8 minutes away, and was told by the helpful person there that the restaurant will open again soon. "This cabin was far enough from the others. Very remote. The lodge/ restaurant was great. Super nice and patient folks. The cabin supplied all the things you’d need to cook. And very clean. A little confusing about check out as far as what to do with towels and linens. But I give it 5 stars and go again. Thank you for the experience."
