"The room was very well-prepared and the owner is kind and helpful, and seems like she has some interesting stories to tell. I was hoping the bar would be a gathering spot for all the guests, but I never saw it open (appears to be by reservation?) That we were encouraged to return by 9 PM was also a bit onerous (given it is 30 minutes from the city centre), but an understandable part of the guesthouse experience."

"This lodging was perfect for visiting the park. Facility was clean, quiet, our room was spacious, & the staff very friendly. They let us know about evening lantern event, and breakfast available for purchase at 9am in a cafe near by. Location in the park is convienent for some travelers without transportation visiting the park. It was a short hike from the bus stop at the museum. "It felt like a home away from home. Everything was close and eady to get to, and the owner was very helpful."

"Everything was great. Shower had a traditional japanese bath and shower setup with a sink just outside to wash in the morning. Several nearby shops for dinner and breakfast and the Tengachaya station is about 10 minute walk and can get you to the Namba area in maybe 20 mins. There are 4 futon beds and a couch on the first floor. The stairs up are about half my foot size so watch out when walking downstairs, and if you're 6ft also on the way up because i hit my head on the ceiling once haha....

"Not only was the property clean, easy to locate, walkable and quiet but the lady who runs the hotel is an absolute sweetheart. The breakfast she made us was better than a lot of the food I was eating at restaurants. I would recommend this stay to anyone. "

"Hello. I was able to extend my stay by two weeks but I had to contact the management company directly. The people were nice and the process was relatively painless. To do this through Expedia would’ve been more troublesome, I think. The part about GGH that I did not like was when the cleaning staff would come in a clean things up. "This hotel was very nice and felt very luxurious for a reasonable price. The rooms were very clean and the largest we have had during our trip to Japan. The bed was so very comfortable and the softest bed we had in Japan. The staff was very helpful and nice. The skyspa was nice and large with a pool inside and outside with lots of shower spaces and a dry sauna. I did expect to have a view from the spa but the glass is frosted so you have to stand to just see out over the city. But they had all the expected spa amenities! It can get quite crowded in the spa in the evening. "

"Great location close to subway and JR trains. Also one block away from airport bus pick up. Hotel is in Umeda district, if you like shopping, this is the place to stay. Staff are friendly and seek to help you if you have a “lost” look. Highly recommend. "

"Close to shopping and dining at Shinsaibashi main area. Easy access to take subway to go Umeda/ Kyoto area for more exploring. They don’t have laundry room and no laundromat closed by. If you plan to stay there for more than a few days, be prepared to bring enough clothes for your stays. "
