"We enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the conversations we had with our hosts, Esther and Ian, both of whom when out of their way to welcome us and help us. We especially enjoyed walking from the B&B to Threave Castle and exploring the nature preserve. We were traveling without a car and had no problem getting to the property by bus."

"This is a lovely place to stay. The Cornmill is right down by the shore of the Cree estuary and Garlieston is a fabulous old village with the Harbour Inn providing good food (advisable to book, though, as our landlady kindly told us). Lovely walks, bike rides and places of historical interest in the vicinity. The cottage itself is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The location, as indicated, is exquisite and so peaceful. We spent a lot of time sitting watching swallows, martins and even a red squirrel. It was also delightful to stroll through the estate or down to the shore. It is a fine area for...
