"The staff are everything at this place. If anyone should write a handbook on how to do hospitality it’s these guys. From the moment we arrived at a packed pub it was clear that they would do anything. They opened up another part of the pub for us just so we could get food and slotted us in. "Clean hotel with great staff and an excellent bar/restaurant. Great location with plenty of shops/bars and restaurants within walking distance. "

"The bed and breakfast accommodation was very nice, clean tidy and well presented. Had a meal in the main pub which was also very nice. Breakfast (cooked English) was served which again was freshly prepared and a choice of cereals was also available."

"The room we had booked wasn't a superior double but after we spoke to the manager we were moved to another room. It has recently been renovated but has been done quickly which shows. The bar downstairs was noisy until closing time so if you want an early night it's not ideal. Floors were very creaky but it's a very old building. Breakfast over the road at the Green Dragon was lovely but the eating window is only an hour, 8:30 - 9:30 and you have to pre order what you want. "
