I booked the room very short notice after arriving in Ambleside but was greeted by Kevin who showed me where to park, my room, and pointed out the best pubs and restaurants to visit in the evening. "A lovely place run by a very nice couple. They prioritised cleaning our room to ensure we could check in early to get ready for a wedding. We had a cozy double and although small was great for a one night stay. The bed was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing too. All in all, a lovely place to stay (with the added advantage of onsite parking in the centre of Windermere) "
