"Spent 2 peaceful nights at the Melbreak Hotel. It was really handy for exploring the Lake District which we were happy about, the only downside was the 4.30pm check in time which we thought was quite late but we still had a lovely time. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and chatty."

"Over night stop driving from Aldershot to Orkney Islands. I just wanted a reasonable priced simlple hotel fir one night and the Kings Arms was just that very near the motorway. Nice clean room small but not tired with a good tv. I had BnB and the breakfast was very good too. I did not eat supper in the hotel."

"Beautiful setting, nice walks. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and welcoming. Dinner was delicious with a varied choice. Dog was made very welcome. Would definitely stay here again."
