I was looking for a quiet, inexpensive and clean place to lay my head and this place checked all 3 boxes. Location was nice too, just a couple minutes from Kingston Square.
My husband, infant son, and I stayed here over Thanksgiving and it was wonderful! It was nice to get away! The A-frame pod was perfect for shelter and heat from the colder nights! The three of us and our dogs were all warmly snuggled up! We were able to do some hiking and hunting. It was a great location! We will definitely be back!! The host was very nice and answered us quickly!
Loved everything about this place from design to simplicity. Its definitely a fun and unique camping experience and if you get cold that buddy heater in there keeps it nice and sheets were clean. Portapotty was only like a 30 second walk away. Nice firepit and the water tower was useful in multiple ways. Great time and affordable price!
We booked two nights, but only stayed one because of rain and we had two kids with us. It’s a really cute camp and if we didn’t have kids with us getting bored then we probably would have stayed and enjoyed the rain from inside the cabin, and having heaters in the A frames was really handy. When we get a chance we will definitely come back when the weather cooperates with our plans.
Our trip was an in and out weekend run to float the upper Buffalo. This was a terrific camping alternative! We loved our stay and I have to say the water tower was a welcome amenity. They're not super large but plenty of room in each for 2. Be aware the bathroom is a walk around the corner. But it wasn't a big deal.
My family traveled over 1,600 miles to watch the 2024 eclipse as well as to stay at this beautiful VRBO. The cabins are adorable, comfortable, and well thought out. The property is simply beautiful with the woods and pond plus it's far enough out of town that the stars were stunning. The wife and kids are already asking if we can come back again!
Our sleeping arrangements included my wife and I in one cabin/pod with four children in the other cabin/pod with the two boys in a tent. On the second night of our visit, a thunder storm rolled through with some significant rain. Fortunately, we watched the forecast and put away the tent ahead of time and stuffed all six children into the one pod. It was a little tight with that many little kids, but they made it work. As far as I could tell, these cabins are waterproof!
Preheated small cabin for like 10 minutes because I did not want to leave propane heater on all night. Bed was comfortable. View was beautiful. Plenty of room for me to let my dog run. I definitely will go back
I was looking to escape the thanksgiving craziness and booked this hidden gem. My initial plan was to tent camp but when I found Four Pines it was a no brainer. I only booked 1 of the pods and it was perfect for my fur son and me. The pod was nice and clean, the bed was cozy and the little heater kept us warm at night. They provided a grate to cook on over the fire which was very useful. There’s also a plethora of hiking options within 30 mins which allows plenty of time to charge devices since there is no electricity. Overall I was very satisfied with my stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
Can not rave enough about the location of this place. It was such a nice place for me to get away for a week. Very simple, yet functional. As a solo female traveler, the location made me feel quite safe and secure. Very large property that my pups loved to check out.
Far enough away for a good retreat, yet close enough to necessities that I didn't feel "stuck". Many hiking trails and waterfalls to enjoy. Coming from Iowa, it took a bit getting used to the roads, but fell in love with the area pretty dang quick.
Overall, our experience was excellent! However, if camping during the summer, bring your fan(s) because the pods are very well insulated and no AC is provided.
