"A very comfortable 3 day stay in this Village Inn with very warm welcome and friendliness throughout - informal but professional. Cleanliness of both room and bathroom excellent with some extras provided in both. Food and menu also excellent. Ideal location to visit Canterbury (Park and Ride close by and very easy) and nearby coast. A lovely stay. "

"The room had excellent facilities, was attractively furnished in keeping with an historic building and village and spacious. Staff were kind and considerate and thoughtful, much appreciatrd as we are in 80s. Menu allowed for variety of choice, food well presented. "The Five Bells is a charming Inn in an idyllic setting. It lived up to all expectations and the exceptional facilities and staff made our two night stay very memorable. "Loved our stay at The Gallivant and would definitely visit again! Due to the location of the hotel I think this is definitely more of a seasonal hotel, however this didn’t impact my opinion of it, the service was great, room was lovely and the food (both breakfast and dinner) was incredible! My only complaint is that they don’t have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, we were told that we could go to the bar for these however, they charge for them on your bill at the end of the stay which...

"This is a property from the 1800's so this should give you an idea of what to expect. Lots of grand original features and very traditional. My room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. The hosts were an absolute joy to be around and provided great company and conversation. Breakfast was delicious and set me up nicely for the day. I would recommend without hesitation and I look forward to staying again. "
