"Nice hotel, beautifully decorated and very clean. However, although the room was lovely it was tiny with practically no space around the queen sized bed. Staff were friendly enough but the restaurant staff seemed very stressed. We had breakfast on Christmas Day and there was nothing festive or special about the service at all. Reception staff were helpful although checkout was more complicated than it should have been! "

"We were travelling with a 92 year old lady with limited mobility so were delighted to find our double Queen room had a large, easily accessible bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Room service was very quick and meals delicious, especially the battered blue cod. "

"A great experience overall. Very atmospheric property with beautiful gardens (and bird life!) Only recommendation would be to change the double bed in room 27 which is a serious sagger. Otherwise, the room was tastefully decorated to fit the late Victorian vibe. "
