Improvement could be made on the cleanliness, we found mouldy food in the fridge and insects on the kitchen work tops, and had to hoover dust and sand out of the draw’s before putting clothes in.An outside tap for rinsing beach stuff would be a good addition "

"A wonderful cottage with the sweetest hosts. We picked the Duckpool lodge after reading several reviews on overall cleanliness and they were right. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed for a lovely weekend away. We enjoyed the quiet seclusion of the area but the convenience of many beaches and attractions not far away. I highly recommend visiting Tintagel and/or Boscatle for an active day out. Well worth the drive. "

"We stayed at the Buttercups Lodge. It was a very comfortable stay and also very serene and peaceful. The location of the lodge is ideal for a family or couple who want to go exploring different parts of Devon and also a drive to Cornwall. The lodge has everything you need and the view of Dartmoor is absolutely breathtaking from it. Andrew and Sally were brilliant hosts and kept in communication with us whenever we needed it. "After being let down last minute on a previous booking we found this hidden gem last minute. The cottage was very well equiped with everything you need, had super comfy beds and a cosy log burner to warm us up after a days walking. And of course the hot tub...bliss!! There was even a lovely thoughtful welcome pack. Would highly recommend and the area is stunning too"

"The property is clean and well maintained there are a significant amount of steps to get to it (I counted 62 in all) but the views at the top are worth it. One word of warning though, I found out to my dismay that there was no network coverage at the property so you can't access the email containing your key code to get in the property when you arrive so make a note of it beforehand. I didn't and had to walk back down all those steps to the main car park to get reception and access the email...
